We understand that occasionally, although we adore our four legged companions, they are sometimes left at home..

What we offer –

Puppy Home Visits & Play or Golden Oldie Senior Visits.

We offer a Puppy Home Visit, which stops you worrying about your new fur baby whilst you are at work. If your new pup is too young to join us for walks, we will pop along to your home, and spend some time cuddling and playing with your new addition, clean up any accidents and make sure they get something nice to eat.
This service is also for the Golden Oldie’s. For those who are at a quieter pace but still enjoy being out and about we can incorporate a small walk, or garden play with lots of love and affection to break up your Doggy Senior’s Day.

Group Walks.

This is where your Dog’s end up having a better social life than you! Your canine pal will be picked up in one of our doggy friendly vans taken to the Beach, Woodland Walks or through open Farm land with all their pals. Our walks will be filled with fun, games and training. Group walks are a great opportunity for your dogs to become well socialised, have fun and on a whole become better behaved. Your Dog is looked at individually therefore all their needs are catered for. Your dog will be exercised in small friendly social groups of no more than 4/5. All locations that have been chosen have been assessed for their safety and fun.
Prices start at £10.50 for 60 mins (not inc travel time) – discounts will be given for block bookings and multiple dog households.

After your dogs walk, your dog will be returned to the van in which they will be dried, and returned home safely.
At home we will replenish fresh water bowls and feed or give treats as discussed in the consultation. Any other requirements please ask, such as dog medication, curtains closed, lights left on/off or TV/Radio.

HOW IT WORKS –

We will come for a consultation to your house where we can meet your four legged companion, where you can tell us about your dog and we can tell you a little bit more about ourselves and the company. After our consultation we will contact you with confirmation of your booking ( by phone, text or email ). Whilst most walks are around 60 minutes, we often run over when dogs are having fun. In total dog’s could be away for up to 2 hours. Keys and alarm codes will also be discussed in the consultation. A record of your dog’s vet and medical needs will be taken in case of an Emergency.

Then the next step is where the fun begins..

Your dog will be picked up in our doggy friendly van which is air conditioned also with heating in the chillier months. The van is set up in professional dog cages with beds and blankets so your dog can relax to and through their walks. When we arrive at our chosen walk this is where the adventure starts

We walk in ALL WEATHERS.
Dogs can be let off their leads only with the clients written consent and if we are happy on the dogs recall, this will be discussed as part of the consultation. Your dog will rest after an exciting days adventure, waiting happily and content for you to return home.

We can update you on your dogs daily adventures via phone call or text. In Addition you can also visit us on Facebook Click Here where a daily blog will be put on with photos so you can see what a great day your Dog has had.

On our walks we provide training, to ensure the dogs safety, ours and the public’s. Your dog will be taught to sit and wait outside the van, sit and wait before commencing the walk and being let off lead (if agreed in consultation). Recall at all times is very important, if your dog has no recall or limited recall, we can also help with the training of this. Whilst having fun on our walks, training also stimulates the brain ensuring after the walk your dog is tired physically and mentally.

In addition we cater for individual training walks where you can join us, tell us what you’d like from your dog and we can do it together, it is very important to us that you can enjoy taking your dog for a walk and both you and your dog can feel confident in doing so. You will see a vast improvement in your dogs behaviour.
Prices start at £20 for one hours training walk. Training equipment such as long lines will be provided.

We are fully insured and covered for all aspects of walking & the van, plus keys.

A bit about me..

Hi – my name is Natasha and I am the Owner of Bark Academy. I set up Bark Academy simply because I love working with Animals. I have one dog of my own, he is a whippet who goes by the name of Louie – he is a big part of Bark Academy. I have vast experience in working with Animals, I have worked in Veterinary Practice & another Dog Walking Business which is when I decided it was time to branch out on my own. I am trained in Canine First Aid and I also hold my Animal Care Level 2 Award. The main thing for me is Trust, which is why it is so important to me for Bark Academy to have the policy of taking care of every animal in our care as if it is our own.

We work Mon-Saturday with Sunday on request.
